The Hollywood actress is among a string of celebs to set foot on the Emerald Isle this year.

The Hollywood beauty is the next big name to show love for the Emerald Isle as Elizabeth Banks hits up some of Ireland’s top tourist attractions.

Following on from Matt Damon’s arrival on Irish shores last year, big names like Patrick ‘McDreamy’ Dempsey, the beautiful Amy Adams, and the ever-popular Hugh Grant have made an appearance on Irish soil.

As Ireland proves increasingly popular as a filming location for big Hollywood movies, this may be only the beginning.

Irish fans of the Hunger Games will be excited to see that Effie Trinket, aka Elizabeth Banks, has paid a visit to some of Ireland’s top tourist attractions.

In a charming, humourous, and oh so realistic post to Instagram, Banks showed her followers what summer in Ireland is really like.

Banks looks as fabulous as ever posing at Bullock Harbour in Dublin, donning a bright yellow jumper, shorts, and a straw hat. Accompanying the photo, she wrote, “Today marks the second time I’ve worn shorts in Ireland.”

During her trip to Ireland, the Hollywood star has been visiting some of Ireland’s most popular attractions.

Despite the weather, Banks and her husband, Max Handelman, checked out the iconic Cliffs of Moher. As one of the picture-postcard stop-off points of the Wild Atlantic Way, no trip to the Emerald Isle would be complete without a visit to this beautiful County Clare spot.

Posting in her own words, ‘Irish spam’, Banks published a reel showing the beauty of this iconic landmark. She wrote, “It’s like Big Sur but with Irish weather.”

Her followers were quick to comment on the typical Irish summer weather. One wrote, “It would be a grand country if we could put a roof on it, Elizabeth.”

More celebrity sightings – Patrick Dempsey’s love for Ireland

However, Elizabeth Banks is not the only celebrity hitting up some of Ireland’s top tourist attractions. ‘McDreamy’, aka Patrick Dempsey, has also been sharing his love for Ireland on social media.

Last month, the Grey’s Anatomy actor posted a snap at Northern Ireland’s iconic Mussenden Temple. This month, however, Dempsey explored the Wicklow Mountains during breaks from filming the Disney sequel Disenchanted.

Posing at the top of Sugarloaf Mountain, he wrote, “Climbed Sugarloaf. It has been calling me, and today I answered! Haha.”

Yesterday, he posted a snap of the iconic Oscar Wilde statue in Merrion Square, Dublin. The caption read, “The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention. Oscar Wilde.”
