This limited edition stout is available throughout the festive season and is the perfect way to warm up on a cold winter’s day.

Baltimore’s Guinness Open Gate Brewery release a brand new Gingerbread Stout, just in time for the festive season.

For many around the world, Christmas is all about eating, drinking, and being merry.

This year, brewers at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore hope their new limited edition Guinness variation will help fans of the Irish stout do just that.

Will you be cosying up this Christmas with a glass of Guinness Gingerbread Stout?

Following on from the release of their Gingerbread Barrel-Aged Stout last Christmas, the experts at Guinness Open Gate Brewery have come up with a whole new recipe.

Hoping to hit a wider market this time around, they have come up with a festive Guinness Gingerbread Stout.

Using seasonal spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice, and ginger, this new festive stout is sure to be the perfect warming winter drink.

Ensuring that the spices aren’t overpowering, brewers hoped to create a stout with “a small character that’s even and balanced”.

Sean Brennan is head brewer at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore. He said the rich flavour of the new Guinness Gingerbread Stout makes it the perfect pairing with your main meal.

He said, “I don’t think dessert; I think the main course is where this beer is. Dessert can kinda showcase on its own; this will be better with the meal.”

At 6% ABV, this year’s festive offering has a lighter alcohol volume than last year’s barrel-aged stout. So, brewers hope it will appeal to a wider audience.

Unfortunately for fans living in the homeland of the black stuff, the new Guinness Gingerbread Stout is a U.S. exclusive.

But you never know, maybe the brewers at St James’ Gate in Dublin will come up with something equally as festive.

For fans in the States, Guinness Gingerbread Stout is on shelves now from the Guinness Open Gate Brewery. So, book your visit now and get your hands on the much-anticipated stout.

The festive drink will also be available in local stores in selected cities. These include Maryland, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Northern Virginia, Southern New Jersey, and Delaware.

Many people say that Guinness tastes better in Ireland.

However, brewers at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, Maryland, have worked their hardest to bring the authentic flavour to the States.

The sister brewery of St James’ Gate in Dublin, stout from here is the closest thing you’ll get outside of Ireland.

Guinness Open Gate Brewery shares much of the ethos with its counterpart in Dublin. However, the U.S. brewers have an inventive spirit of their own.

In a nod to the site’s history as a distillery, the brewery has explored innovative ideas in the process of barrel-ageing.

Guinness Open Gate Brewery offers a range of beers made on-site and imported from Ireland. So, this is a must-visit for U.S. fans of Ireland’s favourite drink.
