Getting a culchie to fall in love with you has never been easier, now that we have these easy steps to follow.

Culchies are what country folk are known as in Ireland ‒ or, to a Dub, anyone who lives outside of Dublin.

A few specific things make them unique, including their lifestyle, hobbies, and, of course, their slang.

So, if you are adamant you want to get a culchie to fall in love with you, just follow these steps, and it may just happen. Let’s look at the ten ways to get a culchie to fall in love with you.

    10. Bake them some iced buns – the best culchie dessert

Culchies just love iced buns, and they will love you if you bake them a batch, especially if they turn out to be as good as or even better than their beloved mammy’s baked goods.

They say the way to a culchie’s heart is through his stomach, and now you have the dessert covered.

    9. Play country music – all their favourite songs

If there are many great ways to get a culchie to fall in love with you, playing country music whenever they are around is definitely one of them.

Perhaps talk about your passion for country music, too. That can’t hurt. Think Nathan Carter, Daniel O’Donnell, and Garth Brooks, and you’ve got yourself a great playlist.

    8. Befriend their friends – it’s a yes from them

Well, if their friends love you, then they will, too. So, be sure to get out and about with them whenever you can.

You can almost certainly win them over by laughing at their jokes and finding things in common with them, such as farming and GAA.

    7. Make them a cracking Sunday roast – win them over with food

If there is a meal that is guaranteed to win over a culchie, it is either an Irish stew or a traditional Sunday roast full of spuds, meat, and vegetables.

It’s best to understand the culchie in question to find out which is their go-to meal, and then perhaps surprise them with it during the middle of the day, mind you.

    6. Go to mass with them – the most crucial day of the week

Culchies can be quite family orientated and traditional, and as tradition would have it, everyone should pay a visit to mass every Sunday.

If you are looking for ways to get a culchie to fall in love with you, put your glad rags on and head on down to mass with them.

    5. Talk about GAA – your new favourite sport

If there is one main hobby that culchies have, apart from driving the tractor around the family farm, it is most certainly GAA – or Gaelic football for sporting novices out there.

Get on their good side by suggesting a day out to watch the match over a few pints. They will be gooey-eyed before it’s over!

    4. Dress the part – it’s about country style

Dress the part to get their heart going.

We are talking wellies, checked shirts, and anything denim to look the part.

If you show up at your culchie’s house wearing this outfit, they will be impressed beyond belief. They will easily see you fitting into their lifestyle.

    3. Learn the lingo – use the top culchie phrases

Culchies have a few specific terms that are well known amongst those that live out in the sticks.

Try learning a few, such as“How’s she cuttin’?” when you want to greet someone, “Now were suckin’ diesel” when you get some speed up in the tractor, or “I’m flat to the mat” when you are busy.

    2. Talk about farming – the number one topic

If there is one topic that culchies could talk about until the cows come home, well… that is precisely what they will talk about: farming!

It is worth knowing a few basics about farming before you bring this up in conversation, which is sure to impress them.

    1. Get in with the family – it’s all about the family

If you can get the family – specifically their mammy – to dote on you, then you are on to something.

This is our number one pick for ways to get a culchie to fall in love with you. Then, even after you’ve left the house, there is no doubt they will all be chatting about you. This will convince them if they aren’t already head over heels.

With these ten ways to get a culchie to fall in love with you, it will be as easy as pie to catch the one you want.
