Baileys is by far one of the most loved Irish exports. It can not only be consumed as a drink but can be an incredible ingredient in many recipes. Let’s take a look at the top five Baileys Irish Cream recipes you need to try.

Many Irish people and people abroad will agree that Baileys Irish Cream is one of the best inventions ever. Its taste is so unique that it brings us right back to our homeland as soon as we have a sip.

Some of our favourite ways to drink this delicate liqueur are simply poured over ice, mixed with coffee, or as a Baileys hot chocolate, particularly popular around the festive season.

But did you know that Baileys has been used in recipes too? In fact, it is such a popular ingredient in many deserts that if you haven’t tried them, you are missing out.

Although some recipes take some time to prepare and finish, some of them are relatively easy. So get some inspiration from some of our favourite Baileys Irish Cream recipes below.

Here are the top five Baileys Irish Cream recipes you need to try.

    5. Baileys Cheesecake – an all-round Irish cheesecake

This classic Baileys Cheesecake recipe by Avonmore, a great Irish brand, is the one to go with when you want an easy, creamy, and truly Irish dessert.

They feature their Avonmore Baileys Whipped Cream in their recipe. However, we recommend adding a splash of pure Baileys Irish Cream to the mix for that added kick.

No list of Baileys Irish Cream recipes would be complete without the age-old dessert that is ice cream.

This can be made to eat alone or to add to an already existing desert. Or, better yet, added to another Baileys dessert.

You will need whole milk, double cream, Baileys, vanilla bean, eggs, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla extract for this rich and creamy dessert. You will also need to set aside an hour to prepare it.

It will take another ten hours to freeze. So you can definitely get a head start with this if you have other things to prepare.

    3. Baileys Trifle – a modern take on a traditional dessert

In Ireland, we love a good traditional trifle, but this Baileys alternative makes a nice change to the usual recipe. Plus, your guests will love it!

Although this addition to our list of Baileys Irish Cream recipes involves a little more work than the others, it is so worth it. It is a fantastic dessert option, especially around Christmastime or other special occasions.

Like most trifle recipes, you will need to follow the steps for making the base, the topping, and the creamy custard. So take your time and you will reap the rewards.
